Olympian Helps Promote Farm to School


Carrie Tollefson Carrie Tollefson, Minnesota Grown Spokesperson and 2004 Olympian, visited with all of the 4th and 6th grade classes at Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary School about the importance of eating fresh, healthy, locally grown food. Tollefson also stressed the importance of exercising every day and even showed the students some fun exercises they can do in the classroom. The visit to Wadena was done in partnership with the U of M Extension Service.
